Delivery Information
Standard Delivery
Standard Delivery is made using a tracked registered postal or courier service.
Deliveries normally take place between 9:00am and 5:00pm, Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.
Standard Delivery usually takes approximately 5–7 working days from dispatch.
For remote or difficult-to-access destinations, delivery may take up to approximately 15 working days.
For selected orders above €130, Standard Delivery may be upgraded to Express Delivery at no additional charge, where applicable.
Delivery times are estimates and may be affected by circumstances outside CHRISTIAN RODIN's control, including:
customs procedures;
carrier delays;
adverse weather;
public holidays;
strikes;
unusually high seasonal demand; and
remote delivery locations.
Same-Day Dispatch
For in-stock products, orders placed before 3:00pm may be dispatched on the same working day, subject to:
successful payment authorisation;
security and fraud checks;
product availability; and
order processing requirements.
Orders placed after 3:00pm, during weekends or on public holidays will normally be processed on the following working day.
Same-day dispatch does not apply to Made-to-Order, Special Order, personalised or customised products unless expressly stated otherwise.
Delivery Times
Estimated delivery times apply to in-stock products after dispatch.
Products identified as Made to Order, Special Order, customised or personalised may require an additional preparation or production period before shipping.
Where applicable, the estimated preparation time will be shown on the relevant product page.
Tracking & Signature
All CHRISTIAN RODIN deliveries are tracked.
Depending on the destination and courier service, a signature may be required upon delivery.
Once your order has been dispatched, you will normally receive an email containing tracking information where available.
Customers are responsible for monitoring their shipment and ensuring that someone is available to receive the delivery where a signature is required.
Lost Shipments
A shipment may need to remain in transit for up to 30 days from the shipping date before certain postal or courier services formally classify the parcel as lost and allow a full loss investigation or claim to be completed.
If your parcel appears to be significantly delayed, please contact CHRISTIAN RODIN Customer Service so that we can begin tracing the shipment with the relevant carrier.
A delay does not automatically mean that the parcel has been lost.
Where a shipment is ultimately confirmed as lost, CHRISTIAN RODIN will handle the matter in accordance with applicable consumer law and the terms of the relevant shipping service.
Public Holidays & Weekends
Standard deliveries do not normally take place on:
Saturdays;
Sundays; or
public/bank holidays.
Weekend or nominated-day delivery may be available for certain destinations where expressly offered during checkout.
Public holidays in either the dispatch country or destination country may extend estimated delivery times.
Packaging
All CHRISTIAN RODIN jewellery is carefully prepared for shipment and presented in CHRISTIAN RODIN branded packaging.
Complimentary presentation packaging is included with orders unless otherwise indicated.
Jewellery may be placed inside:
a CHRISTIAN RODIN jewellery box;
a protective pouch or case;
protective transit materials; and
appropriate external shipping packaging.
Where an order includes more than one product, CHRISTIAN RODIN may package products together where appropriate.
VAT, TAXES & DUTIES
VAT
Applicable VAT will be calculated and displayed at checkout where required.
For orders delivered within the European Union, prices will include or incorporate applicable VAT according to the destination and applicable EU VAT rules.
The final amount payable will be displayed before the order is completed.
European Union Deliveries
Orders shipped from CHRISTIAN RODIN to destinations within the European Union customs territory are generally not subject to import customs duties when moving between EU Member States.
Therefore, customers receiving orders within the EU should not normally be required to pay import duty on delivery.
European Countries Outside the EU
Please note that not every European country forms part of the European Union or EU customs territory.
Orders delivered to destinations such as the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway and other non-EU territories may be subject to:
import VAT;
customs duties;
brokerage fees; and/or
other local charges,
unless the checkout specifically states that these charges have been prepaid.
Canada
For orders delivered to Canada, CHRISTIAN RODIN ships orders with applicable import duties prepaid by CHRISTIAN RODIN, where indicated at checkout.
Where an order is shipped on a Duties Paid / DDP basis, the customer should not normally be asked to pay the covered import duty again upon delivery.
Any taxes, fees or charges not specifically included in the DDP service remain subject to applicable Canadian rules.
Keep this Canada paragraph only if you intend Christian Rodin to follow the same policy as PRET-A-BEAUTE and absorb Canadian duties.
United States
Orders delivered to the United States may be subject to applicable customs duties, taxes, fees or import charges under United States import regulations.
Whether duties apply can depend on factors including:
the value of the shipment;
country of origin of the goods;
product classification;
applicable tariff rules; and
import regulations in force at the time of entry.
Unless checkout expressly states that duties and taxes are prepaid, any applicable charges imposed upon importation are the responsibility of the recipient.
Other International Destinations
For deliveries outside the European Union and destinations where CHRISTIAN RODIN does not expressly offer Duties Paid shipping, products are generally shipped exclusive of local import duties and taxes.
The recipient is responsible for any:
customs duties;
import VAT;
local taxes;
clearance fees;
brokerage charges; or
other charges imposed by the destination country.
These charges are determined by local authorities and are outside CHRISTIAN RODIN's control.
We therefore cannot guarantee or estimate the amount that may be charged.
Before placing an international order, customers are encouraged to contact their local customs authority for information regarding potential import charges.
Customs Clearance
Where customs duties, taxes or other import charges are payable, payment may be required before the shipment is released by customs.
The customer is responsible for providing any information or documentation reasonably required by the courier or customs authorities to complete customs clearance.
CHRISTIAN RODIN is not responsible for delays caused by a customer's failure to provide required customs information or pay applicable import charges.
Refusal to Pay Customs Charges
If a customer refuses or fails to pay customs duties, taxes or clearance charges for which the customer is responsible, the shipment may:
remain held by customs;
be returned to CHRISTIAN RODIN;
incur storage fees;
incur return transportation costs; or
in certain circumstances be abandoned or disposed of by the carrier or customs authority.
Where the parcel is successfully returned to CHRISTIAN RODIN, any refund due may, where legally permitted, be reduced by the reasonable costs incurred as a result of the failed delivery, including:
original shipping;
return shipping;
customs charges;
storage charges;
brokerage or clearance fees; and
other direct costs attributable to the return.
Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
Refund of Duties & Taxes
For eligible returns from within the European Union, applicable taxes collected by CHRISTIAN RODIN will be refunded where required by law.
For international orders outside the EU, customs duties, import taxes and brokerage charges paid directly to:
customs authorities;
couriers;
postal operators; or
customs brokers
cannot normally be refunded by CHRISTIAN RODIN because those amounts were not collected by us.
Customers should contact their local customs authority directly regarding any potential reimbursement of import duties or taxes following a return.
Delivery Exceptions
PO Boxes & Similar Addresses
For security reasons, CHRISTIAN RODIN may be unable to deliver to:
PO Box addresses;
BFPO addresses;
mail-forwarding addresses;
parcel-forwarding companies; and
certain temporary accommodation addresses.
This policy is intended to protect valuable jewellery shipments and ensure secure and traceable delivery.
Where we cannot deliver to the address supplied, Customer Service may contact you to request an alternative physical delivery address.
Temporary Residences & Hotels
Delivery to hotels, temporary residences or similar locations may not be available for certain high-value orders.
Where such delivery is accepted, CHRISTIAN RODIN may request additional identification or verification before dispatch.
Incorrect or Incomplete Addresses
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address.
Please check your:
recipient name;
street address;
house/building number;
apartment number;
postal code;
city;
country; and
telephone number
carefully before completing your order.
CHRISTIAN RODIN cannot be responsible for delivery failure caused solely by incorrect or incomplete address information supplied by the customer.
Additional shipping or return costs resulting from an incorrect address may be charged to the customer where permitted by law.
Partial Shipments
CHRISTIAN RODIN reserves the right to ship an order in more than one parcel.
This may occur where products:
have different preparation times;
are stored at different locations; or
become available at different times.
Where CHRISTIAN RODIN chooses to divide an order for operational reasons, the customer will not be charged additional shipping costs solely because the order has been divided.
Delivery Responsibility
Customers are responsible for being reasonably available to receive their shipment at the delivery address provided.
Where a parcel is returned because:
delivery was refused;
repeated delivery attempts were unsuccessful;
the parcel was not collected;
the address supplied was incorrect or incomplete; or
customs charges for which the customer was responsible were not paid,
CHRISTIAN RODIN may deduct reasonable direct costs caused by the failed delivery from any refund where permitted by applicable law.
